NSTRU holds the Glorification Ceremony of 2019 for His Majesty King Rama 10

On Wednesday the 24th of July, 2019, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University held the glorification ceremony in honor of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s 67th birthday on the 28th of July 2019. The ceremony was attended by administrators, staff and students of the university as well as the general public nearby.

On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King’s 65th birthday - July 28, 2017, the first activities was an alms-bow merit making with the monks from Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahaviharn, Wat Phra Nakhon, and Wat Sra Riang, which was held at the lawn on the front of the Office of the President. It started at 6.30 a.m. by having Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat who lit the candles to pay homage to the Triple Gems. Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Dr. Phrakhrusiridhammapirat Ariyadhammo, the Assistant Abbot of Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahaviharn led religious ceremony.

At 08.30 a.m., Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, presided over the glorification ceremony in celebration of the King’s birthday at Pakdeedamrongrit Auditorium, NSTRU. Then, the President signed his name on the blessing book, and went on stage to present a flower tray in front of His Majesty’s portrait, opened the flower case cover to pledge loyalty and respect to King Rama 10, followed by deans or representatives from various faculties.

The ceremony ended with the President led all participants to cite the words of blessings to King Rama 10, take an oath to be a good servants and the singing of Thai Royal anthem and the Sadudee Maha Raja (In Praise of Great King) song to praise His Majesty the King. This activity also reflected the love of NSTRU people for the king and in reflection of the hard work for the people of Thailand.
