NSTRU is selected to be one of the Provincial Testing Centers of CU-TEP

On November, 22, 2019, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University by Asst. Prof. Wichit SUkhatorn, Ph.D., Vice President, Acting President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University together with Asst. Prof. Uthai Kuhapong, Ph.D., Director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology signed an MOU with representatives of Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center (ChulaATC) to set up the NSTRU Language Centre to be one of the provincial testing centers of CU-TEP.

CU-TEP is the acronym for Chulalongkorn University Test of English Proficiency which was modeled on the TOEFL test. CU-TEP was established, and is run by the Chulalongkorn University Language Institute. The test is aimed at Chulalongkorn University staff and students, government and private sector personnel and the general public. It is required for admission to the master and doctorate programmes. The purposes of this test are to assess the listening, reading, writing and speaking skills of those candidates who take this examination.

The background of this MOU for this academic collaboration and setting up of the Provincial Testing Center caused from Nakhon Si Thammat Rajabhat University used to be a place to host CU-TEP examinations many times, in conjunction with the ChulaATC has foreseen the potential and appropriateness to establish a regional CU-TEP English exam center at Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University in order to be another testing center in the southern region of Thailand.
