NSTRU joins Tung Prang Sub-district Administration Organization and the Fourth Army Area to hold the tree ordination ceremony in Son Soi Forest

On July 15th, 2018 at 09.00am, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University together with the administrative team, lecturers, staff, students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, local people led by Mr. Santi Phantawatee, Chief Executive of Tung Prang Sub-district Administration Organization, and the representatives from the Fourth Army Area; Major Wiroj Promhmuang, Technician of the 4th Development Division, 401st Engineer Combat Battalion joined the ceremony of tree ordination at Son Soi forest, Tung Prang sub-district, Sichon District, Nakhon SI Thammarat.

The activities started with the welcoming music parade groups for all participants. Then, it was the Buddhist ceremony by Buddhist monks led by Phra Kru Withan Sangkakit, the abbot of Wat Krua Chuay as the head of the monastery sides. He arrived at the area and started the ceremony. A procession was formed to carry the yellow robe to ordinate the trees in the area which was allocated as conservative forest conversion in ecological and natural studies according to the policy of the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiation of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG).
