NSTRU holds “Satthaya Kunakorn Mutita 2018” event for the retirees

Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University holds the event called “Satthaya Kunakorn Mutita” on the occasion of the retirement of staff of the university in the fiscal year 2018 to honor the 6 staff members who have been very valuable for the university. This year there are 5 academic staff members and 1support staff member who retire.  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat University presided over the opening ceremony and administrators of NSTRUand large numbers of people from the university attended the ceremony in an atmosphere full of happiness and warmth on Friday the 21th of September 2018 at the Multipurpose Conference Room, 1st Floor, Pakdee Damrongrit Auditorium, Nakhon Si Thammarat rajabhat University.

In the fiscal year 2018, the retirees include: Asst. Prof. Dr. Orn-Anong Boonklong, Asst. Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology for Research and Development Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abhinbhorn Satitpakeekul, Vice Director of Satit Demonstration School for Academic Affairs, Astt.Prof. Sureeporn Vuthimarnop, lecturer from the Faculty of Science andf Technology, Mr. Wirat Leanbsomboon, lecturer from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Mr. Poj Chaiboon, lecturers from the Faculty of Education, and Mr. Kosol Sasisuwan, Field Cratfsman from Central Division.

Activities started with the video clips that were shown featuring the accounts of the retirees, building laughter from all that attended then followed by the Opening show from the students majoring in Classical Dance and Drama. The event proceeded simply and warmly.  The retirees sat in a line on the stage and were respected by the procession of the younger staff members with bouquets presented to each of them. After that, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat University welcomed the attendees of the event, presented the honorable trophies and gave a speech in which he expressed his admiration and gratitude towards the retirees. In addition, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abhinbhorn Satitpakeekul, a retiree gave an amount 40,000 THB which was separated into 3 scholarships of 10,000 THB each, 30,000 THB in total, and the supporting money to the NSTRU Staff Club of 10,000 THB.      

After that, Prof. Dr. Kowit Phuang-Ngam, Chairman of the Khon Kaen University Council gave a welcoming speech for the retirees. At the event there were the local band of students, the blessing dance of staff from all Faculty in university, who created a beautiful atmosphere and performed beautifully that impressed the audience of retirees. There was signing of a commemorative book, picture taking and flower giving ceremony. The event concluded with a drum solo show by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of NSTRU which was very impressive.

The event carries on the traditional ceremony in accordance with local traditions of Thai people in the form that Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University has carried out for a long time. In addition, retirees receive motivation with a warm and friendly atmosphere with an honoring ceremony for the work and dedication that retirees have shown for the good of the nation. These are role models for the next generation.
