Learning and Fun Like No Other: “Office English Comes Alive 2017: You Say Max, We Say Stapler” by the NSTRU-International Relations Department (IRD)





On February 25-26, 2017, the NSTRU International Relations Department (IRD) conducted a two-day English Camp at Ninee Garden and Resort, Trang participated by the selected administrative staff, faculty staff, and faculty lecturers. With the theme “Office English Comes Alive 2017: You Say Max, We Say Stapler”, the camp aimed to familiarize the participants with the use of English language in the office settings.

 

Prior on heading to the location, Dr. Sompong Raksatham (VP for Administration) delivered a welcoming message and wished the participants good luck for the two day camp activities. Together with its hardworking committee members, the IRD team prepared various English activities which composed of fun and exciting ice-breakers and main activities such as; Office Equipment Vocabulary, Describing Places and Things in the University, Telephone Conversation, and Giving Directions. The night of the camp was filled of enjoyable and wonderful talent presentation by the participants and facilitators. It was a wonderful day, and truly beneficial for everyone.

 

The second day of the camp was started by a scavenger hunt activity, followed by the certificate giving ceremony, and closed with a thank you message from the IRD head, Ms. Chanaichon Damsri. In recognition to the participants’ cooperation and effort, everyone was rewarded a chance to visit “Le Khao Kob Cave” and “Wang Thep Taro” some of the tourist spots in Trang.

 

The two-day camp was a success; the participants’ time, effort, cooperation, and contribution made the project even more productive.
