NSTRU presents the 2018 Gratin Ceremony




NSTRU folks harmonized in the Gratin Ceremony presented to Rangsan Teacher College Temple, a vivid glance of their strong hold to Buddhism and wish to maintain the beautiful ritual.

On November 10th, 2018, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University with a group of merit makers comprising of NSTRU’s professors, students and personnel in offering Gratin to Rangsan Teacher College Temple in Tha Ngiew Sub-District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Muang District. Gratin a religious ritual that is practiced after the end of a three-month period of Buddhist lent involving providing a host temple with a collection of worshiping items.


The event began at 09.00a.m., with the Nahon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University’s Kathin group started off from Gate 3 near the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to the temple which is a distance of 1 km. Then, followed by the perception of Buddha preaching presented by monks. Phra Kru Sophon Pittayaporn, the temple’s abbot and ritual’s monastery chairperson welcomed the merit makers who brought to the temple a donation of 133,229 Baht.
