SEA-Teacher students meet and listen to the address of President who also gives support before travelling to Philippines and Indonesia

On Thursday 03rd January, 2018, International Relations Department took a group of student teachers who have been attending in 7th Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia or SEA-Teacher Project 7th Batch which will be held on January 7-February 7, 2019 to pay a visit to Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, the current President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University and listened his advice at the reception room, 3rd floor, the Office of the President. This visiting was arranged for student teachers of the faculty of Education in order to build confidence, get supporting from administrators, and listen the advice on preparation of teaching techniques as well as the recommendations while living abroad.

The SEA-Teacher project was done to provide opportunity for pre-service student teachers from universities in Southeast Asia to have teaching experiences (practicum) in schools in other countries in Southeast Asia. It aims to enable pre-service student teachers to develop their teaching skills and pedagogy, to encourage the pre-service student teachers to practice their English skills, and to allow the pre-service student teachers to gain a broader regional and world view.

Five student-teachers were sent to the Universities in Indonesia and Phillipines namely; Miss Hathaichanok Namcharoen and Miss Waraphat Janmon, 2 junior students of the mathematics program to Saint’s Mary University (SMU) Philippines, Miss Wanita Muangrod and Miss Sawitree Krainara, 2 junior students of the general science program to Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) Indonesia, and Miss Marisa In-narong, a senior student of the physics program to university Islam Indonesia (UII) Indonesia.
