NSTRU’s Language Centre hands with CPA Centre to hold a forum to upgrade understanding of the TOEIC

In the afternoon of January 9th, 2019, Language Center of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University handed with CPA Center for professional Assessment held a forum under the name, “All-in-one TOEIC” to upgrade English skills development of students and staff, build bodies of knowledge and correct understanding, and stimulate to see the importance of the TOEIC English skills exam. Many interested participants attended the seminar which was held at the Promyothee Room, 4th Floor, the RACE Building, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University.

The event was honored to have two experts from CPA Center for Professional Assessment joining as speakers. The organizers hoped that the talk from the experts who have strong experiences in the TOEIC exam would encourage students and staff to try to exam TOEIC to improve themselves in English continuously and in the right direction.

TOEIC or Test of English for International Communication is an English language test designed specifically to measure the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment. There are different forms of the exam; for instance, The TOEIC Listening & Reading Test consists of two equally graded tests of comprehension assessment activities totaling a possible 990 score; There are also the TOEIC Speaking and Writing Tests. The TOEIC speaking test is composed of tasks that assess pronunciation, intonation and stress, vocabulary, grammar, cohesion, relevance of content and completeness of content. The TOEIC Writing test is composed of tasks that assess grammar, relevance of sentences to the pictures, quality and variety of sentences, vocabulary, organization, and whether the opinion is supported with reason and/or examples. Both assessments use a score scale of 0 - 200
