Young Love at NSTRU Safe for Love

In the afternoon on Wednesday the 24th of July, 2019, Bureau of Reproductive Health, Department of Health, Ministry of Public health joined hands with the Student Development Division of NSTRU - Nakhon Si Thammarat University to hold the event on “Young Love : Safe for Love” at the main auditorium, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University. Over 500 students joined the event, together with faculty’s and other organizations administrators, and public media.

This event aimed to educate students about delaying sexual intercourse, having sex safely and accurately in order to prevent and reduce sexual behavior risk problems, unwanted pregnancy, prevent AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases. There was a keynote address by Sukamon Wipaweeponkul, M.D., a psychiatrist of Phayathai II Hospital, and honored by having a special guest speaker, Khun Worachart Thamvijin or locally known as “DJ Pla-Kung”, who was the moderator and gave the entertainment throughout the event.

At the event, there were a lot of activities for students to join the fun with prizes, which they have participated and were interested in questioning about sexuality as well. All activity were conducted under a joyous atmosphere. The last session of event was a Shield of Honor Receiving ceremony to Nakhon Si Thmmarat Rajabhat University from Bureau of Reproductive Health, Department of Health of Ministry of Public Health. It was honored by having Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, who was a representative in receiving.
