Education student wins the first runner-up at the 2nd Creative Speaking Contest Southern Thai: Identity and Cultural Diversity




Congratulate to Mr. Nawakit Panraud, 2nd year student of Faculty of Education, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University on winning the first runner-up prize at the 2nd Creative Speaking Contest "Southern Thai: Identity and Cultural Diversity" from his presentation on video clip under the topic: “Conserving and Creating Southern cultures in the 4.0 era", which was held by the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkhla University (PSU) and the Ministry of Culture. He also received a trophy, certificate, and 7,000 baht scholarship on July 25, 2019 at Rajawadee Room, the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkhla University.

The contest opens up a chance for contestants to talk about their interesting point in 3 minutes by recording on video clip. The talk should meet 3 criteria namely: content (should be accurate), clarity (it should be clear), and charisma (it should be interesting). The 5 finalists were divided into 4 finalists from the committee's decision, and 1 finalist from a top-rated video clip.

Creative Speaking Contest is held with an objective to encourage undergraduate students in any field to join the competition so that they can apply their local cultural knowledge in creative speech through modern technology, including being proud and have the consciousness of the value of the southern culture.

Moreover, all contestants who won the prizes, had a chance to attend National Thai Language Day Activities in the event held on July 26, 2019 at the Ministry of Culture, Bangkok.
