NSTRU hold Wai Kru - Krob Kru Ceremony 2019

On August 22, 2019 - the College of Art and Culture, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science’s Traditional Dance and Performing Arts Program, and Faculty of Education’s Dramatic Arts Program joined hands to hold Wai Kru, or teacher homage ceremony, and Krob Kru, or ceremony for people performing art for the academic year 2019 by having Ajarn Weerachai Meeborsap as the officiant in the event.

This event was a good tradition that NSTRU’s students showed their gratitude and respect to teachers who were dedicated and taught good things to them. "Wai Kru or paying respect to a teacher is a form of Thai culture. It is a good Thai tradition in terms of manners, courtesy, which will be a part to convince the human mind to maintain the goodness, keeping the technology constantly, and motivating to be a gentle, non-hardened personality.

This year’s ceremony featured a scholarship awarding ceremony to 42 university students, totaling 84,000 THB. The scholarships were offered to undergraduates students of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University who come from low-income families, have good conduct and academic records. These scholarships were granted without any obligations since it was seen that education would be an important basis for the development of human resources and the country.
