NSTRU joins the candle-lighting ceremony in tribute of His Majesty the late King Bhumibhol Adulyadej the Great’s Memorial Day of 2019

On October 13, 2019, Asst. Prof. Wichit Sukahtorn, Vice President, together with a group of administrators and staff represented Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University in joining the candle-lighting ceremony to express loyalty and gratitude on the occasion of the memorial day of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great at Sanam Na Muang Ceremonial Ground in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Siriphat Phatkul, Nakhon Si Thammarat Governor. Then, he led all participants to lit candles and take part in a moment of silence for 89 seconds to remember King Rama IX. Next, the two episodes of music documentary were played in commemoration of the kindnesses of the late King Rama IX as well. A large number of heads of official organizations, public enterprises, educational institutions, private sectors also joined.

Moreover, in every province, the ceremonies and activities will be held at provincial halls or other suitable venues simultaneously with those in Bangkok. Abroad, they are to be held at Thai embassies and consular offices.

In this occasion, the people joining the ceremonies and activities nationwide are advised to wear yellow to commemorate the virtue and grace of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who never thought of anything but happiness of his people throughout 70-year reign, like he once said, "I will reign the kingdom with righteousness, for happiness and benefits of Siam people".
