NSTRU hosts the 49th National Graduate Research Conference 2019 : NGRC#49




On December 6-7, 2019, Graduate School of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University in hands with its coalitions in hosting the 49th National and International Graduate Conference 2019 (NIGRC 2019) under the theme of "Power of Research and Innovation : Challenges and Opportunities Through Graduate Research" at the University Convention Hall, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University. The opening ceremony was held on December 6, 2019 with a visit by Asst. Prof. Kanata Thatthong, Ph.D., President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, who presided over the conference opening and conveyed the opening address. Asst. Prof. Ladawan Kaewsrinuan, Ph.D., Dean of Graduate School presented the reporting speech. The event attracted over 200 researchers and participants from over 30 universities across Thailand to present their research works. The conference was divided into two major sessions: oral presentation of over 50 studies and poster presentation of over 40 studies

The conference was honored to have Prof. Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak, Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Zimbabwe in Thailand, Former Prime Ministerial Advisor of Thailand, a Senior Fellow at Harvard University, USA to give a special talk on the topic, "Creativity in Research and Innovation : Challenges and Opportunities to Thailand 4.0".

NIGRC 2019 was regarded as the venue for researchers, scholars, teachers and professors, and graduate students in science, humanities and social sciences, and education across Thailand to learn and share their knowledge and build collaborative networks in different fields. This conference has been organized for the 49th time and this year Graduate School of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University hosted the conference with support from Council of the Graduate Studies Administrators of Thailand (CGAT), and universities that have been the members of CGAT. It also be a stage for coordination in academic operation, educational administration and activities among the CGAT members.

The opening ceremony featured a welcoming performance show by the students of the College of Arts and Culture of Nakhon Si Thammarat, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for grand opening of Poster Presentation by Asst. Prof. Kanata Thatthong, Ph.D., President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, followed by a flag handover ceremony to King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang as the next host university, which is one of the symbolically highlights of the event.
