NSTRU joins the International Anti-Corruption Day 2019

On December 9, 2019, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University led by Asst. Prof. Kanata Thatthong, Ph.D., President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University together with a team of university’s administrators, joined the International Anti-Corruption Day 2019 event, in which this year was held under the slogan, "Zero Tolerance, the Thai people do not tolerate corruption" at Ligor Hotel, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Siripat Phatkul, Nakhon Si Thammarat Governor, and over 200 heads of officials and staff from several government agencies, private companies, state enterprises, local administration, educational institutions, and civil society volunteers also attended.

The event featured many interesting activities including, a retrospective screening of the International Anti-Corruption Day activities staged over many years in Thailand, a Nang Talung performance under the concept of Zero Tolerance; declaring the intention to oppose corruption; listening a statement by the Executive Director of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and a declaration by Pol. Gen. Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit, President of The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) on driving Thailand toward clean and refraining from corrupt practices; a special talk on" Corruption Perception Index: CPI" by Mr. Arun Pumprao, Former Chairman of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Corruption Prevention and Suppression Committee, an awards presentation ceremony for government agencies with excellent transparency in the fiscal year 2018, and for the winners of the Good Guy Run 2019 competition by General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Thailand.
