1st NSTRU Staff Sports Games : Harmony and Celebration

Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University held the 1st NSTRU Staff Sports Games under the slogan "Harmonious Mahachai, Celebrating New Year’s Eve", from the 18th - 25th of December, 2019. The games feature 5 different categories of sport including football, men’s volleyball, women’s volleyball, chair-ball, and traditional sports with 4 teams (Blue, Pink, Red, and Yellow), competing against each other.

The closing ceremony was held on the NSTRU football field next to the main gate of university by honoring with a visit by Assoc. Prof. Wichai Mueanphet, Ph.D., Chairman of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University Counci, who preside over and welcomed all participants. Mr. Jeeranan Preechacharn, Assistant to the President for Sports Affairs reported the program’s objectives. The event also was joined by the University Council Members, university administrators, lecturers and staff as well as many students.

The ceremony began with a parade which was led by a band from the Department of Music, Faculty of Education, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University. Members of the four teams (Green, Yellow, Blue, and Red) followed in the parade before entering the field. Each parade team included administrators, lectures, and staff who dressed in a variety of themed costumes.
This Staff Sports Games has been aimed to develop the staff’s potential, improve their health, and strengthen relationship of staff members within university. Actually, sports have been considered as a way to develop relationship as well as can be healthier and more delighted with better discipline. Moreover, it is a way to promote ethics that people need when they live together in the society. They can also learn to work together, which are the powerful source of energy when they go back to work to contribute benefits to their university.
