Indonesian exchange staff disseminates Bahasa Indonesian language and culture at NSTRU

On February 11, 2020, at 10.00am, Assistant Professor Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University together with International Relations Department staff have warmly welcomed Miss Afwin Sulistiawati, the Indonesian staff whom will discharge of her duties as the special lecturer in teaching and promoting Bahasa Indonesia to students and staff at Language Center, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University for 3 months, starting from February 10 - April 30, 2020, by through the assistance from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.

This cooperation was originated from the concept of International Relations Department of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabat Univesity in enhancing the relationship to external organizations at an international level. Further to the highly successful visit of Mr. Fachry Sulaiman, Consul/ head of Mission of the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Songkhla and his team to Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University on Friday, 26 April 2019, and having a discussion on enhancing the collaborative development in academics between the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia and Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, such as staff exchange, supporting NSTRU’s students for their internship at the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia or organizations which are under the jurisdiction of Indonesia government and other related activities.

In order to make cooperative activities becoming truly concrete, then the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Songkhla has supported by sending a female Indonesian staff, which have certification to teach Bahasa Indonesia for foreigner in discharging of duties at the Language Center, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University for a short-term.

Such exchanges will be for the purpose of three major missions including, development of Indonesia Conner Center, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University to be more well-known, organize Indonesian Camp for students and staff of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, and production of Indonesia Channel via Mahachai Audio Radio Station Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University to teach Bahasa Indonesin language and disseminate Indonesian culture for students and staff of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, and it would also be a great opportunity to strengthen mutual relations between two organizations.
