NSTRU attends the ceremony to pay tribute to the "Father of Thai Craftsmanship" on National Skill Standards Day 2020




On March 2, 2020, at 08.30 a.m., Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanata Thatthong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajbahat University had assigned Asst. Prof. Dr. Wichit Sukhatorn, Vice President, to be representing President together with NSTRU’s staff representatives in attending the ceremony to pay obeisance to the "Father of Thai Craftsmanship" on the occasion of National Skill Standards Day 2020, which was held by Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Office at the Community Hall, Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Administrative Organization Theatre.

The ceremony was honored by Mr. Pongthep Kaimuk, Vice Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat, who presiding over the ceremony in leading official departments and different organizations to present the gracious tray, as well as offering words of praise to pay tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Bromnapradit, "Father of Thai Skill Standards" on the occasion of National Skills Standards Day 2020.

The purpose of this event was to honor His Majesty the King Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej Boromarajbophit the Great, in having his royal grace towards the Thai people, and to recall his capable of mechanic skills as well as, giving importance towards the development of Thai skilled technicians to meet international standard. There were many heads of civil service organizations, judicial, attorney, the military, police officers, heads of government agencies and private sectors to participate in the ceremony in unison. The ceremony activity included exhibition by the Nakhon Si Thammarat Institute for Skill Development, Region 22 on royal duties of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Bromnabophit, which presents the late king's expertise on handicrafts and benevolence towards developing the country's workforce for the general public to visit.

In consequence, the cabinet has passed a resolution in offering a prestigious and respected name to His Majesty the King Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej Boromarajbophit the Great, as "Father of Thai Craftsmanship" on February 17, 2009, including designation of the date on March 2, in every year as the National Skill Standards Day.
