NSTRU representatives attend a ceremony with the Province to mark King Rama I Day

In the morning of 6th April, 2018, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wichit Sukhatorn, Vice President, together with Mr. kamol Bunmuang, Acting Director of Division of Central Administration as representative of NSTRU administrators and staff joined the wreath-laying ceremony on Chakri Memorial Day in commemoration of King Rama I, the founder of the Royal House of Chakri Dynasty.

Mr. Jamroen Thippayaphonthada, Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat province presided over the ceremony. On this occasion, he has performed a religious ceremony before paying respects to the past Chakri kings at the Nakhon Si Thammarat Community Hall.

Chakri Memorial Day is observed on 6th April to commemorate the contribution of the kings of Chakri dynasty, who have been ruling Thailand since 1782. The day is a medium for the faithful people of Thailand to express their love and reverence to the kings.
King Rama I was an accomplished statesman, a lawmaker, a poet, and a devout Buddhist. His reign has been called the "reconstruction” of the Thai state and Thai culture. His most obvious, long-standing creation was perhaps the city of Bangkok. Many government officials and members of the public in Nakhon Si Thammarat province participated in the wreath-laying ceremony, as well, to pay homage to the royal portrait of the founder of the Royal House of Chakri.
